(Alien merely means a foreigner from another place)

Have you ever stopped to consider where astrology originated from or wondered how come the signs are represented by figures that look nothing like the constellations of the stars that they represent?  Isn’t it strange that all the constellations have the same names and figures throughout the nations? (besides China) Who gave them their names?

Many people love referring to the universe as their god, however why turn to a “god” that was made by another. If it was made by another it can’t be “god” itself. Maybe best to turn to the greater God and thus the One who made the universe and listen to His wisdom, seeing He has the wisdom to create these things in the first place. Proverbs 3:19 states “The Lord by His wisdom has founded the earth. By understanding He has established the heavens”

In the book of Revelation where it describes the return of Jesus on a white horse, it is written that His name is The Word. Revelation 19:13He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God.” If Jesus is the Word to whom we need to address our questions regarding the Zodiac then who is Jesus? A prophet? Some say He was a good teacher? Illegitimate Son of Mary? Or, Son of God? So, seeing God created the universe and therefore also the Zodiac, it stands to reason to take a look at what the Word of God has to say regarding the subject of astronomy and astrology.

Over 300 prophecies about the man Jesus happened in exact detail. This couldn’t have happened by chance thus if Jesus really is the Son of God, it would pay us to listen to what He has to say. Jesus himself endorsed the scriptures as the Word of God in Matthew 4:4 says:” But Jesus answered,”The Scripture says, “People can not live on bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God””  Jesus was in fact quoting an Old Testament scripture – Deuteronomy 8:3 which says: “He made you go hungry, and then He gave you manna to eat, food that you and your ancestors had never eaten before. He did this to teach you that you must not depend on bread alone to sustain you. But on everything that the Lord says”  Therefore, to hear what God is trying to communicate to us, let’s go to the Bible for all the answers to all our questions. We may even find that an alien being from outside our dimension is trying to communicate with us through the stars.

The first question one can ask is …Is the ZODIAC mentioned in the Bible?

Job 38:31,32 says: “Can you bind the sweet influences of Pleiades, or loose the bands of Orion? Can you bring forth MAZZAROTH in his season? Or can you guide Arcturus with his sons?” Mazzaroth is the Hebrew transliteration of the Greek word ZODIAC. The 12 Zodiac constellations are a band of stars that lie in the plane of the solar system. They appear high in the night sky, roughly along the same path traveled by the sun during the day. During the course of each year the zodiac constellations take turns in appearing. For example, Scorpio in winter, Gemini in summer, hence Job’s reference to the “bringing forth” of the constellations. Therefore, YES the Zodiac is mentioned in the Bible.

Another question to ask is: Why were the stars created? Well, in Genesis 1:14 it says: ““Then God said: let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night; and let them be for SIGNS and seasons and for days and years.” So, we know then that they are meant to be signs. We just need to explore what they are signs of.

Then there is the question of who named the stars? Scripture says in Psalm 147:4 that He (God) counts the number of the stars; He calls them all by name” It is also interesting to note that on an account where God was walking and talking with Abram, he told him to “Look toward heaven and TELL the stars, if he be able to NUMBER them: and He said to him, ‘So shall thy seed be’” (Genesis 15:5) In the Hebrew language “tell” and “number” is the same word and means, “enumerate in order or in proper sequence” It sounds like God is telling Abram that if he could read or write the stars in the proper sequence that he could learn about his offspring. This ancient knowledge of the stars, together with the ensuing testimony of Moses and the prophets may have been what taught the wise men (astronomers) to expect the arrival of the “One who is born King of the Jews” when they came seeking to worship Him.

Knowing all this, we need to one, explore the scriptures to find out what the proper sequence of the stars are and two, to interpret the names of the stars in order to uncover the story and message that is written in the stars for our learning. Isn’t it exciting to realise that the Creator of the universe has designed things in creation with the purpose for us to discover it and get revelation about who He is. They are designed however to be treasures to those who really want to know the truth but remain hidden mysteries to those who do not want to be accountable to God. He wants you to seek Him out. Jeremiah 29:13 says “You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.”  Further, we have a promise from Revelation 3:20 which says: “I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me. God desires to have a relationship with you all you need to do is ask Him to reveal Himself to you. Matthew 7:7,8 “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened. It only takes 3 things to do and understand in order to get to know your Maker and enter into a relationship with Him:

  1. Ask God to forgive you of your sins. You have broken His law and have sinned against Him.
  2. Ask Jesus to save you. He has already paid the penalty for your sin. Acknowledge that He died on the cross for your sins but 3 days later, rose from the dead, conquering death so that you may have life. Ask Him to receive His gift of salvation.
  3. Ask the Holy Spirit to change you, give you a new heart, dwell with you, teach you and give you the courage, power and strength to follow Jesus.

When you have done this, you will be amazed at how the scripture opens up to you and you discover hidden treasures all over the place of messages of love given to you.
